The whakapapa of Te Korowai Atawhai, Mercy Hospice began with the call from the w?hine M?ori of T?maki-makau-rau, to which the Sisters of Mercy responded in 1849. Today, our mission and values have their roots in the work of these T?puna w?hine – to ensure that all those in our community needing palliative care, receive Information technology with the utmost professional skill and respect. Manaakitanga » A strong advocate who can awhi and tautoko M?ori patients and wh?nau, as part of the Multi-Disciplinary team. » Keen to promote consciousness of end-of-life care, tailored for M?ori. Matauranga » A proactive mentor, ensuring the needs of M?ori are strengthened in end-of-life care. » Contributes to practices that promote equity, challenging inequity. » Contributes to the development and quality improvement initiatives of Mercy Hospice services. The COVID-19 Public Health Resources (Vaccinations) Order 2021 requires all workers who work in the health and discapability sector to be fully vaccinated. This includes facilities such as Mercy Hospice where vulnerable patients are treated.this function will be included within this order, and the prosperous candidate will need to be fully vaccinated.
