In this function you will be supporting the student administration of the BEd (primary and early childhood) and GradDip Secondary programmes, undertaking student administration tasks. Your focus will be assisting in the administrative management of the programmes which includes admissions, enrolments, enquiries, student learning etc. You will work closely with the other student administrators in the School as well as with academic staff responsible for leading and teaching on the programmes. You will use AUT systems and processes to ensure all administration is accurate and timely and supports the student practice. You will assist with the running of an efficient administration system, but Information technology won’t all be about the administration, you will also get involved with working on promotional marketing material and promoting AUT to prospective students at events including our open day! Our ideal candidate will have; » 2-4 years’ practice in a similar function » A strong customer focus but the capability to push back when required » Intermediate level skill using Excel » The capability to get information out of systems, manipulate data and report on it » The capability to manage their time in a fast paced environment with competing demands » Excellent relationship building and facilitation expertise with cultural sensitivity » Strong verbal and written communication expertise » Ideally, practice within the education sector or alternatively a large complex environment We’re looking for a genuine team player with flexibility and attention to detail and who is comfortable managing multiple tasks and working to support the student administration team. You will maintain professionalism at all times and proactively offer support and assistance. this function is a 7-month Fixed Term Contract to provide cover for parental leave.
