With a team of 30 permanent staff, this organisation is forward thinking and are actively working on changing how they work. Critical to the focus on Health Equity, you will support the M?ori Health Research and Pacific Health Research Managers in the implementation of their health research activities.You will be responsible for coordinating science assessing committee meetings and research funding processes as well as assisting with the development and implementation of M?ori and Pacific Health strategic initiatives. You will be comfortable reviewing and developing documents to ensure they’re fit for purpose, taking meeting minutes, and maintaining external relationships with stakeholders and funding partners. This is a busy and pivotal function where there will be lots of opportunities to step up and try new things. To succeed in the function, you will need a long-term view that will ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of health research in Aotearoa New Zealand, and an active commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, with an knowledge of the unique status of M?ori as tangata whenua.
