We are currently seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Shift Fitter at our client's facility in Manukau, Auckland. As a Shift Fitter, you will play a vital role in the production process by carrying out preventative maintenance tasks, attending breakdowns, contributing to changeovers, and occasionally filling operating positions. Responsibilities: » Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment. » Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and carry out necessary repairs to minimize downtime. » Contribute actively to changeovers, ensuring efficient and smooth transitions between production runs. » Conduct inspections and testing of machinery to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. » Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair logs, equipment condition reports, and inventory levels. » Collaborate with other team members and provide technical support to ensure optimal production efficiency. » Occasionally fill in for operating positions during absences or when required. Requirements: » Proven experience as a Shift Fitter or similar role in a production environment. » Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair machinery efficiently. » Familiarity with maintenance best practices and preventative maintenance systems. » Proficiency in reading technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals. » Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. » Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. » Flexibility to work rotating shifts and be on-call for emergencies. » Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. » Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Remuneration: The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $42 to $48, based on skills and experience with time and half overtime and 10% shift loading.
