This is an important function for this organisation that is heavily involved in regional development and a key stakeholder in any development proposals in a very wide area across Auckland and its environs.
Reporting through to the Environmental Services Manager, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate, report, and advise on resource consent applications and environmental impacts under the current RMA and Unitary Plan. Beyond that, you will be at the forefront of managing, coordinating, and maintaining other primary stakeholders who will be consulted in the process of each application. Your input into the implementation of connected plans, processes, and programmes are an essential part of the function. Included also will be assessments and preparation of CIA, CVA and Kaitiaki reports as required.
As a minumum qualification, you will need to have a significant Tertiary qualification in Environment Resource Management and/or Planning or equivalent practice in Maori Cultural and Heritage, Conservation, Horticulture or Policy Development, and practice in resource management, a knowledge and knowledge of TLA legislation and current resource management, and have strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution expertise. You will also have demonstrated knowledge of M?tauranga M?ori concepts.
