We register and monitor charities and build sector capcapability to comply with the law by providing guidance material, online and print resources. This is an exciting opportunity to join our high performing team, where you will get to work across all aspects of charities regulation. As the Graduate Charities Regulator working in Charities Services Regulatory team, your key functions would be to: » undertake consideration of applications and documentation from charities and assess these against statutory requirements » assess complaints and undertake inquiries into charitable entities » evaluate the compliance of charities with the reporting standards for not-for-profit entities » provide administrative support to the General Manager, Charities Registration Board and Charities Services team, as required Along with your strong commitment to excellent customer service, we need you to have: » the capability to communicate very effectively both orally and in writing in a clear purposeful and confident manner » practice in an administrative or customer service function » the capability to apply policies to make sound judgements » a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the capability to contribute to, and support, effective strategies in achieving responsiveness to M?ori.
