Raukura Hauora o Tainui (RHoT) is an incorporated iwi charitable Trust, founded to deliver quality kaupapa Maaori health and wellbeing services to all people living in the rohe of Tainui waka, so that they are empowered and able to thrive and prosper. RHOT is governed by a board of trustees and has over 120 kaimahi located in Tamaki and Waikato.
RHoT delivers a comprehensive range of hauora Maaori services across Waikato and Tamaki (South Auckland). RHoT has four GP clinics, one vaccination clinic, head office and three other offices in Rahui Pokeka, Kirikiriroa, and Manukau.
The key focus ofRHoT is to ensure health needs of all who reside within the rohe of Tainui waka are met through the delivery of culturally appropriate hauora Maaori services underpinned by Kiingitanga and Waikato tikanga and kawa. RHoT's organisational mission is to deliver kaupapa Maaori hauora services to all people living in the rohe of Waikato – Tainui. The overarching vision is;

Te aahua o Te Tuurunga – The nature of the position
The General Manager is part of the Senior leadership abilities Team and is responsible for superviseing the operations of all Raukura Hauora o Tainui's (RHoT) Community Services. The position is responsible for ensuring all services are aligned with RHoT strategic priorities, ensuring sufficient funding is resourced to maintain operational overheads as well as ensuring there is a robust risk framework in place. The function covers both the Waikato and Taamaki regions where services include, Te Puna, Addiction Services, Mental health and Hapori, through a diverse framework of workgroups.
Supporting the CEO in the implementation of strategic priorities across all community services, you will be tasked with developing the overarching strategy, and for leading operational roll out. Calling on your operational excellence in planning, you will have the skill base in order to develop an annual business plan and supporting operating budget to achieve against the plan.
Leading a multi-disciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical staff, you will be accountable for ensuring an improved, recovery focused, integrated, and coordinated approach to care. Furthermore, you will ensure services are compliant with all legislative requirements and have a continuous improvement lens placed firmly across them. Managing operational systems and processes to deliver a consistently high standard of affordable care and service, you will be working proactively, in order to monitor and manage resources to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
Relationship management will be centric to your success, as you form prosperous connections across clients, kaimahi, funders and external providers. Internally, you will provide leadership abilities, coaching, guidance and support to line managers and team leaders, ensuring they understand the annual business plan and are clear on how they support you to achieve the service goals and results. With direct reports, you'll undertake performance management, and remain hands on by working collaboratively with the Operations Managers to carry out contract management and contract discussions with funders.
Taking an all of business approach, you will ensure best practice standards are monitored, achieved, maintained, and reviewed regularly to ensure operational and service excellence. Producing and analysing data, you will be tracking performance against the business plan, ensuring the Board is kept proactively updated, and all risk mitigations are in place and a regularly reviewed.

A tertiary qualification is desirable or may be offset by considerable significant professional practice within a similar function. Knowledge of applicable regulations governing practice/legislative requirements is a base requirement.

   » Robust business and financial acumen and skilled in financial management systems.

   » Demonstrated strategic and leadership abilities expertise to build and grow effective teams.
   » Highly effective relationship management expertise including conflict management and resolution.
   » practice in a leadership abilities position where you have worked alongside iwi, hapuu, marae and whaanau.
   » Expert data analytic and report writing expertise.
   » High levels of EQ and the Mana to uplift others.
Requisite is the knowledge and capability to incorporate the tikanga and kawa of Kiingitanga, Waikato – Tainui and Raukura Hauora O Tainui. This includes poowhiri, karakia, manaakitanga, whakawhanaungatanga, and poroporoaki as part of your everyday mahi.
Partnering closely with the People Culture and Capcapability team, you will be ensuring teams are well supported, and professional development is in focus. Talent mapping and succession planning conversations will also become a stay of your position.
Flexibility to travel as required between Taamaki and Waikato regions will be required.
For this position, Information technology is mandatory for candidates to have a full Covid-19 vaccination status.
