About us
Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), is a part of the Ministry of Education, that creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and ICT enabled learning environments. EIS manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, is responsible for the largest payroll in the country, and transports over 100,000 students to and from school each day.
The Operational Practice and Funding team provides support to the Property Delivery teams within EIS. We are responsible for providing staff with the tools and resources they need to deliver quality advice and assistance to schools and suppliers. The team is also responsible for managing property related funding.
About the functions
We have a number of Senior Advisor positions located in the Ministry’s National Office in Wellington for six months to support business critical functions.
The Senior Advisors will lead a range of projects that drive continuous improvement and support our Property Delivery staff to deliver property services to schools. Projects will range from new large scale and complex processes to updating existing processes and practices.
In these functions you will:
   » lead practice improvement initiatives and the implementation of operational policy
   » provide advice and support to Property Delivery teams in response to queries about operational policy, practice, and funding
   » identify staff capcapability requirements and where training is required to support prosperous implementation
   » identify data and reporting requirements
   » identify system changes arising from processes
   » evaluate the effects of practice improvement initiatives to determine if they are achieving the intended results
   » look for opportunities to continuously improve our best practice information and ensure Information technology is delivered clearly and consistently.
