The Manager, Group Risk and Compliance is a critical function that provides thought leadership abilities and drives leading risk management practice across the Operations Group. A key focus of this function is to engage with the Operations leadership abilities team to co-ordinate effective risk management practices and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
In this function as the Manager Group Risk and Compliance you are responsible for leading a team of risk professionals to facilitate first line of defence activities within the Operations Group and ensuring that the Group manages risk and compliance in line with the Enterprise risk management framework. This includes leadership abilities of the business continuity and resilience function, which is responsible for improving organisational resilience and ensuring the Enterprise has plans in place to respond effectively to business interruptions.
You’ll work with the Operations leadership abilities team to optimise the risk activities in all parts of the Operations Group, lead Risk and Compliance Maturity initiatives and constructively enable the activities of the Risk Network in a collegial manner.
We are seeking for an practiced leader, with a mix of the following expertise:
   » Eight or more years practice working in a senior leadership abilities function preferably in risk, compliance, business continuity or internal audit
   » A high level of political and commercial consciousness, strategic and tactical practice
   » Strong working expertise of current risk and compliance, business continuity and resilience management standards.
   » Capable of, and practiced in, leading teams, or influencing virtual teams in times of change.
   » capability to manage relationships and lead delivery through influence
   » Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation

The function is competitively remunerated – the midpoint of the income band is $153k plus a further 9% superannuation.
