Creative and Brand
Creative and Brand are Wellington City Council’s inhouse visual communication team. We are responsible for creating a wide variety of material that helps communicate the work of the Council. This includes campaigns, brand work, signage and wayfinding, photography, video and a whole lot more. We sometimes say ‘our client is a city’. This means we’re continually presented with unique projects and opportunities.
Our team is welcoming and take a flexible approach to working. You’ll be able to have a mix of working in the house and working from our CBD office. We’re a team of friendly people who want to do the best we can for our city.
The function
As our Video Producer, you will play a pivotal function in crafting compelling visual narratives that showcase the vibrancy and diversity of the work our organisation does. Your skills in long-form video and social media will be crucial in delivering content that resonates with our residents, visitors, and stakeholders. Work will enjoy working closely with a talented team of professionals to coordinate shoots, provide guidance, and ensure seamless project execution.
You will be comfortable collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand project objectives and develop creative concepts for a variety of video applications. You will manage end-to-end video production, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and post-production.
You will ensure that video content adheres to brand guidelines and effectively communicates key messages. You will use data and analytics to understand where and how we can make the most impact with our video function.
Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adaptcapability in video production, considering the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of our community.
So who are we looking for?
We are seeking for Somebody with demonstrable video production practice, and a full NZ licence. Someone who can show us they’ve worked to deliver to deadlines in fast paced environments. You’ll have excellent communication skills and will be able to exhibit your management of relationships and bringing people together.
You are passionate about producing videos that inspire and engage audiences. You have a knack for developing creative concepts and bringing them to life.
You are a team player and are comfortable taking direction and giving it. You enjoy working collaboratively and have flexibility in the solutions you propose. You are culturally aware and someone who is naturally inclusive in their thinking and creativity.
