The function
We are seeking for an practiced/intermediate Helpdesk Support Engineer to join our clients Service Desk team in a modern office in Wellington CBD. You will troubleshoot and provide solutions for all technology issues, as escalated by junior engineers. You will ensure customer service level agreements are met and provide a single point of contact for ownership of escalated requests.

tasks
• Make sure all policies, procedures and work instructions are followed in the interests of customer satisfaction and adherence to contractual obligations
• Problem solving and documentation of the problem and resolution
• Monitoring and managing Information technology support requests through the Service Desk system, telephone and personal presentation
• Fostering effective and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Undertake project work as directed

expertise & practice
• Excellent communication expertise both oral and written. Excellent telephone manner.
• capability to work to deadlines
• capability to speak with users of all levels on technical issues and be able to tailor the communications appropriately.
• 2+ years’ practice working in support-located teams
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, web application security, and distributed systems
• practice with configuration and automation tools.
