Offer: Senior Advisor – Ministerial and Executive Services:Public Service CommissionJob description:Job DescriptionTe Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.We have an opportunity for a motivated Senior Ministerial Advisor to join our Ministerial and Executive Services team. This permanent position sits within the Office of the Public Service Commissioner to provide efficient and effective ministerial services to the Commission and its stakeholders. Information technology is also the Commission's key liaison with the office of the Minister for the Public Service which requires oversight of complex and sensitive requests. To be prosperous in this function you will: » Be a senior-level adviser who has strong practice working in a Ministerial Services team » Have a deep knowledge of the Official Information Act (OIA) and practice handling complex and sensitive information when processing OIA requests or the proactive release of Cabinet material. » Have practice drafting Ministerial correspondence and responding to Written Parliamentary Questions » Be a self-starter, organised, and enthusiastic » Be a team player who enjoys supporting and mentoring more junior staff, with a availability to step up and lead the team when needed » Have a flexible and adaptable approach to work and comfortable working in an environment of continuous improvement » Be able to maintain a high-standard of work for both yourself and the team this function will suit an practiced Senior Adviser who is a confident and quick-learner, with strong collaboration expertise, and an enthusiastic and flexible mind-set.
