Adecco is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stores Person - to join a well-established team on a fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing efficient warehousing and distribution services to meet customer needs and organizational objectives. You will ensure stock rooms are optimally maintained and stocked, and manage inventory to support effective use and turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Imprest Service:
   » Conduct daily or as-required department deliveries.
   » Arrange delivery to departments, unload, and place items on shelves.
   » Manage stock in departments according to best practices, ensuring controlled levels and timely replenishment.
   » Handle fluctuating item requirements promptly, maintaining stock rotation and compliance with expiry dates.

2. Stores Service:
   » Pick and pack requisition orders using appropriate equipment.
   » Input stock requests, confirm pick-slips, and amend discrepancies.
   » Perform weekly cyclic stock checks and maintain a clean, secure, and hazard-free store environment.
   » Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of sterile goods.

3. Inwards Goods Service:
   » File Purchase Order documentation and reconcile packing slips/invoices.
   » Record discrepancies, damaged goods, and liaise with purchasing officers and suppliers.
   » Ensure accurate receipt and recording of goods in the computerized system.

What you bring:
   » Previous experience in stores and inventory management. Familiarity with Technology One software or similar systems is preferred.
   » Proficiency in keyboarding, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and computerized inventory control systems. Understanding of stock rotation procedures, and compliance with health and safety policies
   » Methodical and analytical approach with strong organizational and time management skills.
   » Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and challenges.
   » Commitment to high personal and professional standards, including confidentiality.
   » Available for shifts from 7am-4pm Monday to Friday
   » Physical capability to lift and handle stock as required (up to 18kg
   » Adhere to professional standards, health and safety regulations, and confidentiality policies.
   » Ability to pass pre-employment procedures including drug screening
