Legal Publications Editor, Te Kura Kaiwhakaw? Pacific Justice Sector Programme (PJSP)
Fixed-term full-time opportunity – Wellington

Te ?huatunga a te t?ranga – About the function
Te Kura Kaiwhakaw? (Te Kura) is the education and development arm of Aotearoa New Zealand’s judiciary. Te Kura is a business unit of the Office of the Chief Justice – Te Tari Toko i te Tumu Whakaw?.
From 1 January 2022 Te Kura is funded for an initial five-year period by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) to deliver support to judiciaries and courts in 15 Pacific countries.
As Legal Publications Editor you are primarily responsible for producing online publications to support Pacific judicial and court agents. You will co-ordinate and create content, working closely with key stakeholders including judges, academics and subject matter experts. Your legal research and editing expertise will ensure the online publications are legally correct, well-written and significant to needs of the specific audiences. You will edit and publish with an eye to consistency, style and accuracy.
He p?kenga tou – expertise and practice
To be prosperous in the function you will have the following:
   » A tertiary qualification in law and high-level practice in electronic publishing and project management
   » Strong interpersonal expertise and the capability to interact effectively with Pacific judges and other key stakeholders
   » Proficiency in Pacific cultures and ideally in a Pacific language is an advantage, as is a working expertise of the judiciary or courts

income range
The appointing income for this function will be between $84,366 and $110,172 located on expertise and practice
