The location offers the right applicant the perfect base to explore the beauty of the area and to venture into the famous Milford and Doubtful sounds. We are currently recruiting for an practiced and motivated chef for the below position: Breakfast Chef / 4th Chef this position will have mixed hours of work but primarily working day shifts and the right candidate will be punctual, responsible and flexible. Key tasks and Responsibilities » A passion for food » An capability to work independently » An knowledge of health and safety and food safety regulations » Take control of the breakfast service and ensure guests receive a truly delicious and memorable breakfast » Setting up and cleaning down the kitchen and ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times. » Ensure any anticipated issues, stock requirements are communicated promptly to the Head Chef. » Team player. being able to assist the rest of the kitchen team as required including assisting as required with lunches, functions and nights service. The prosperous applicant must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and Fiordland Lodge is an accredited employer. The ideal applicant would have New Zealand residency or a valid work visa and be able to start ASAP. Well known for its scenery and outdoor activities Te Anau is an excellent and very affordable place to live. The position would suit an outdoor enthusiast who will take advantage of the many recreational activities that the Fiordland national park has on offer.
