This is an exciting time to be joining the Information Group. We are implementing a new transformative operating model that is about ensuring we have the capacity and capcapability to effectively deliver our Information functions. To support this change, we have three exciting leadership abilities functions who will be leading our new multi-disciplinary teams.
About the functions
Our newly created Directors functions will lead one of the new Information Group functions, Information Strategy and Assurance, Information Foundations, and Information Advisory Services. As a strategic thought leader and a people leader, you will be fundamental to driving our new operating model and leading the change for your team and collaborating with the GM Information to meet Chief Information Security Office (CISO) and Chief Privacy agent (CPO) obligations. This is a great opportunity to be leading new ways of working, to be at the forefront of innovative practices and new thinking and to play a critical function in the delivery of MSD strategic priorities.
Director – Information Strategy & Assurance:
In this function you will lead the Information Strategy and Assurance team, providing strategic leadership abilities and supporting the Ministry to deliver the assurance programme. You will play a pivotal function supporting the Ministrys Te Pae Tawhiti (TPT) Transformation Programme.
Director – Information Foundations:
In this function you will lead a team that is about building and maintaining the information capcapability foundations and our information operations providing support across our organisation, this means providing direction, guidance, tools, and training to MSD to drive capcapability improvements.
Director - Information Advisory Services:
In this function you will lead the Advisory team that supports the business by providing specialist skills, expert advice and guidance to work programmes, ensuring business process and systems design align to best practice and meet all compliance requirements.
About You:
You will be passionate about how the management and security of information is fundamental to our business and your skills and strategic leadership abilities will help us drive new and transformative ways of working. To be prosperous in these functions, you will:
   » Have demonstrated skills and leadership abilities practice in at least one of the Information technical domains (information management, information security, or privacy and information sharing).
   » Be a strong and engaging communicator who is about inspiring and galvanizing others around shared goals.
   » An capability to manage relationships at all levels and someone who can prosperously navigate complex environments.
   » Be an innovator with a track record of prosperously leading sustainable transformative change.
   » Have broad practice with enterprise risk assessment and management, particularly in the Information context.
