They are prosperous a prosperous New Zealand-born company, well-positioned for further growth. Offices are in Auckland's CBD. To cover a period of maternity leave, an opportunity has become available for a bright and personable Accountant to join an established team on a fixed-term contract until Q1 2022. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the core focus of this function will be to ensure the integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting systems. The function has a broad remit encompassing expense management, maintaining journals, month end responsibilities, GST, as well as the collation and interpretation of financial information to provide reports, support and analysis to the Finance Manager, cost centre managers and the project delivery team as needed. The prosperous candidate for this position will be a qualified Accountant, or be on the path to qualification, and have 3-4 years of practice in a similar type of broad finance function. You'll have a thorough and demonstrable knowledge of accounting systems and processes, and to be a confident user of Microsoft Excel, with advanced capabilities to use common formulas, pivot tables etc. On a personal level, you'll be organised and have a high attention to detail, be a problem solver, and be an engaging communicator.
