The Opportunity
This newly created permanent senior leadership abilities function will be reporting to the General Manager Procurement. We are seeking for a Procurement senior leader to translate the organisation's business plan and national procurement strategy to practice and deliver transformational commissioning and procurement ?results' at a significant national level.
Leading a team within a multidisciplinary function you must bring skills in designing effective commercial models to deliver commissioning procurement activities. Therefore, you will need to have significant depth as a procurement practitioner and show a high level of insight to create ?outcome-located procurement' drawing from your practice within either product and or service-related environments, ideally from within the public sector.
This is an outstanding senior leadership abilities opportunity for an practiced Procurement leader with in-depth skills in strategy implementation, functional delivery, team leadership abilities, stakeholder engagement, and the capability to ?champion' the drive for improvement in procurement results ensuring they deliver to their complex national customers.
About You
As the function encompasses strategic, operational and people leadership abilities, you will bring the capability to lead through a high level of engagement with strong clear communications, visible and empowering people management, relationship development, and stakeholder engagement skills which are crucial to the success of this function, as is an open approachable, collaborative and influential style.
As Information technology is a new function within this organisation, Information technology will be important that you possess at least 10 years of practice in leading a procurement function (end to end procurement, including sourcing, contract management, planning, supply chain management etc) within a complex environment, able to deal with ambiguity, be solutions orientated and practiced in supporting governance processes and drive for quality performance, along with significant practice leading the delivery of procurement results at a national level.
