We are currently transitioning multiple productions from late-stage development to our production slate and we require a capable person to support our Auckland-located Head of Production.You will be our Wellington located ?hands on the ground' and ?head in the schedule' person. You will possess common-sense, good judgement, terrific communication expertise and the capability to work with a degree of autonomy. In return you will lgain the absolute best practices for producing animated content, and gain expertise in a rapidly expanding sector within the entertainment industry. this function is likely to turn into a full time function as our development slate moves into production in 2022. You will need to work in the office some of the time to build relationships and keep a finger on the pulse of production, but we are otherwise flexible. P?keko produces long-form animation. It's a fast-moving, technical process, you'll need to be a quick learner and be comfortable using technical language. Production practice You may have practice at any level up to and including Production Manager. You need to know how to manage schedules on a day-to-day basis. You will have your head in the detail and your feet on the ground. You will have production practice in digital animation and understand the fundamentals of picture & sound-post. You would be a superstar if you have practice in producing content for children and practice working collaboratively across countries and cultures. Technical expertise You will understand the fundamentals of digital content production. You will be broadly capable in excel. For example you'll be able to explain the difference between DATE and DATEVALUE, and what $ means in formulas. You will understand the different functions within a CGI team from a technical perspective, You will have had 12+ months practice in shotgun, ftrack or MS project (or any other gantt/production tracking tool). You will be a super-superstar if you have had exposure to long-form animation production, games engine linear content production and git/perforce/PlasticSCM software engineering workflows.
