Warehouse/Forklift - AlbanyJob location:Auckland Rodney & North Shore Work Type: Permanent » » » »Start after Lockdown, online interview now! »Mon to Friday, 8.30am start, neg rate »Variety, as day to day running of your area The company • Our client has been established for over 70 years and supplies imported product to the whiteware, electrical and plumbing sectors • located in their Albany branch, you will be in a sole charge function liaising with the South Island Head Office and your smaller Auckland sales and office team in a function that has both busier and quieter periods. tasks • Being solely responsible for making up and dispatching orders, ie generating consignments for dispatching stock to top ½ of North Is (no invoicing or packing slips required) • Branch transfers of stock between Auckland and Christchurch, keeping an up-to-date record of everything that leaves the warehouse • Handling all incoming deliveries • Product returns – customer returns and freight damage, warranty returns and repair jobs • Checking, clearing and unloading containers, completing appropriate paperwork • Use of an electric Forklift (no racks, unload product on to Pallets, ground level) • Maintaining an AP formerly MPI accreditation (course on can be provided) • Liaising with Sales Representatives and Freight Companies • Stock inventory with twice annual stocktakes, transferring stock between warehouse and showroom as required (as distributors, not retail) • Keeping warehouse clean, tidy and well organised • Responsibility as OSH Safety agent / Fire Warden etc You • You will have a current Forklift Licence (F endorsement is NOT required) • Warehouse/Forklift practice • Take pride in running ‘your’ warehouse in a sole charge capacity • Computer expertise (for email liaison with freight companies, printing labels, tracking) • Be self-motivated, fit and able – a steady and reliable person Offer • Freedom to run a 800sqm Warehouse • The company will pay for MPI Accreditation (AP) if needed • A friendly supportive team, annual functions • Onsite free parking • Well equipped lunchroom/café over the road • 35 hours/week • $23-24/hour, plus company bonus after 12 months typical • Job security as such an established business!!
