Offer: DevOps Engineer – 6 month contract:ACC_hainesJob description:Job Description» Flexible hours plus work in the house options» Exciting opportunity to build Enterprise DevOps Engineering Capcapability for ACC » Drive continuous improvement and usage of the DevOps Toolchain » Work in an environment that values team culture and innovation » Wellington located, six month hourly rate contract As a DevOps Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team working in a multi cloud environment using a great set of tools to make life better for everyone delivering software at ACC and help us grow an Enterprise DevOps Engineering Capcapability for the organisation. Our job is to act as an accelerator – while other teams are focused on what they are delivering, we look at how we are doing Information technology and where we can make Information technology better. So, what do we actually do? We develop CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, we make things faster through automation (think Terraform & Packer), developing test frameworks, shifting security left, integrating different tools for a seamless user practice, implementing DevOps Practices and questioning legacy processes. ACC has been improving the lives of New Zealanders since 1974. With ACC, you’ll be supporting people in Aotearoa to stay safe by minimising the incidence and impact of injury, as well as helping them recover from injury if an accident does happen. As a DevOps Engineer you will: » be customer-focused and directly engage with our customers; identify customer pain points and solve real customer problems » provide feedback and technical mentorship to the team, encouraging best practices; share expertise within the team and wider teams; function model technical and value-driven behaviours » support teams migrating from legacy processes and systems onto Azure DevOps, navigating a large enterprise with evolving governance structures » contribute to the strategic direction of DevOps at ACC What We are seeking for from you to be prosperous in this function: » Minimum of two plus years working as a DevOps Engineer, CloudOps Engineer (preferably Azure Cloud) or equivalent. » ands-on practice automating build and release pipelines in a cloud environment, preferably using Azure DevOps Services, Infrastructure as Code and container services such as Kubernetes & Docker » Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical abilities, and the capability to produce well-structured and easily understood documentation » A strong desire to automate processes, build software tools, and create infrastructure-as-code solutions in a DevOps environment » Well-developed interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution expertise » availability to investigate, understand and lgain new technologies and components to continue expanding our automation abilities » capability to drive innovation and adopt new ways of working Working at ACC We know that a diverse and inclusive team helps us meet the needs of our customers, and we welcome applications from people of every ethnicity, national origin, gender orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, and/or status as an individual with a discapability.
