Job Offer: Kaiwhakahaere Ahumoni – Finance & Accounting Services Lead:Maori Pacific JobsJob description:Job DescriptionThis is a Financial Management function which requires Somebody with a strong background in Financial Accounting and Financial Systems Management, Financial Planning, Accounting and MonitoringPosition Purpose The purpose of this position is to support the CEO through providing accurate, appropriate, and timely management accounting, information and advice for the CEO and Board to assist them in strategic decision making. As such there is a strong emphasis on operational performance reporting, trend analysis, and contract lifecycle management Main Tasks Contribute to the competent management of MTA financial resources through the timely and accurate reporting of financial measures. Specific accountabilities are the initiative-taking development and completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, variance analysis and advice, to support CEO and Board decision making, as well as ad hoc reporting as required. Routine reporting can include; » Monthly financial reports » Variance analysis » Portfolio Manager analysis and support » General Manager responsibility centre reports » Third party reporting » Forecasting financial performance » Contract lifecycle management, reporting and forecasting Key Results Financial and Non-Financial accounting, reporting, and forecasting » Quality and timely services are provided to internal and external customers. » Appropriate processes, internal control systems, policies and standards are monitored and promoted. » The timely and accurate completion of all reports, monitoring performance against target and advising on actions to rectify adverse variances. » All deadlines for monthly, quarterly, statutory, and annual reporting are met.
