It's a paid position. We are not your ordinary hostel! Check us out - www.wanderlustnz.co.nz It’s a unique building in a prime location. We are located right in between all the restaurants, café’s, and shops. Best of all is our EPIC balcony with harbour views, you might even spot an orca or two! This could be your office! We are more than just a place to stay, our newly renovated historic building, is the preferred stop for travelers and young adventurers wanting high quality, affordable rooms, from backpacker hostel style dorms to upmarket double ensuites. We are committed to protecting our beautiful natural environment, enhancing connections with our local communities, while delivering an amazing quality and safe practice, to all our guests. Night warden shifts are 3 to 4 nighs per week, from 9pm until 12am-1am, and being on call until 7.30am in the morning. Work includes working on weekends and public holidays. As we are a small team and COVID has hit our industry hard, over winter we all work as a team and cleaning is definately part of the job! Roll on summer... we will be smoking busy! The job includes taking over from reception after 9pm. Doing late check-in's, answering phone calls, keeping the hostel clean and tidy and making sure noise levels are kept to a minimum. You will stay in the night warden room with the other night warden on discounted rate. It's a large room with 2 single beds, ensuite bathroom, large wardrobe and 2 fridges. FREE high speed internet and FREE laundry! We are seeking for someone who is social, responsible, can take initiative and can handle large groups. Start date: end of July.
