About our group and team
The Educational Measurement and Assessment team operates 5 large-scale education research studies. This involves working with national and international research organisations (Otago University, OECD and IEA), New Zealand Schools, Ministry Colleagues and service providers we have contracted in the work.
Our team sits in the Evidence Data and Knowledge group of the Ministry where much of our research, evaluation, data and reporting is located.
About this function
The Programme Administrator supports the manager and team with administration and practical support. You will have a wide variety of responsibilities, from setting up meetings and travel bookings, to ringing schools, to entering contracts, making payments and monitoring budgets.
About you
The ideal person is naturally organised, adaptable and a problem solver. You think on your feet and love supporting your team to be prosperous. You will thrive on achieving your to do list, while always putting people before process.
You will report to the manager but be available to support the various projects in the team. You may be just out of uni or starting your career and looking for somewhere where you can develop and progress.
You will also offer:
   » evidence of high performance in work and other pursuits (eg, sport, music, hobbies, side hustle)
   » the capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga.
