As an enterprise leader you will demonstrate the following You will be responsible for leading a team that provides corporate and investments legal advice, work with and support our Board and governance through the corporate secretariat and, provide business advice and administration. You will do this by partnering right across the organisation to provide the Board and senior leadership abilities with confident and credible advice on complex strategic and operational legal issues. Your collaborative and inclusive style will enable you to form strategic partnerships that enable the success of your team and of ACC’s delivery to New Zealanders. To succeed in this function, you’ll have the following: » Minimum of 12 years post graduate legal practice advising on corporate, governance and commercial legal issues » A current New Zealand practising certificate » Proven practice leading a team with a strong focus on the development and growth of team members and the provision of high-quality services » A track record designing and implementing governance and decision-making frameworks and advising at Board, Executive and senior leader levels » practiced and confident advising a Board and senior leadership abilities as well as the expertise and capability to work with diverse teams and people organisation wide » Able to manage the business and budgets of functions with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement To add value to ACC you’ll also bring as follows: » High integrity, values, and a spirit of service » practice working with a Board and Board Committees and governance frameworks and systems to support efficient and effective processes, high quality discussions, robust decision making and oversight » The capability to apply public sector disciplines as well as business and commercial nous with practice in financial and investment sectors being an advantage With this function comes a great opportunity to continuously improve, deliver and innovate.
