To be prosperous in this function you will: » Be a senior-level adviser who has strong practice working in a Ministerial Services team Have a deep knowledge of the Official Information Act (OIA) and practice handling complex and sensitive information when processing OIA requests or the proactive release of Cabinet material. Have practice drafting Ministerial correspondence and responding to Written Parliamentary Questions Be a self-starter, organised, and enthusiastic Be a team player who enjoys supporting and mentoring more junior staff, with a availability to step up and lead the team when needed Have a flexible and adaptable approach to work and comfortable working in an environment of continuous improvement Be able to maintain a high-standard of work for both yourself and the team this function will suit an practiced Senior Adviser who is a confident and quick-learner, with strong collaboration expertise, and an enthusiastic and flexible mind-set. A little bit about the friendly DPMC Ministerial Services team: The DPMC Ministerial Services team is located within SGE. The team supervises responses to Official Information Act (OIA) requests through the coordination and drafting of responses, and the provision of advice as required. The team drafts departmental and Ministerial correspondence, coordinates draft answers to Written Parliamentary Questions (WPQs), manages the publication of OIA responses, and the proactive release of Cabinet material. The team also provides OIA and correspondence support to the Office of the Prime Minister (PMO), the offices of other DPMC portfolio Ministers, and the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor, as required.
