candidates are sought for the full-time position of Senior Project Manager, Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Te Kunenga Ki P?rehuroa, Massey University.
About the function
Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) M?ori this function provides vital support for the planning and implementation of several new and key work programmes to deliver M?ori strategic priorities and to also achieve the Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments of Te Kunenga Ki P?rehuroa.
We are seeking for an practiced and qualified Senior Project Manager who has a proven capability to manage complex business change projects. candidates will preferably have M?ori project management practice and a demonstrated capacity in applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
this function would preferably be located at either Manawat? Campus (Palmerston North) or Pukeahu Campus (Wellington). However, remote working (i.e. in the house) may be necessary if required by Government mandated COVID Protection requirements and the operational policies of Te Kunenga Ki P?rehuroa.
You will play a key function in a select number of projects and will be responsible for supporting project sponsors, leads and subject matter experts to plan, implement and evaluate these. You will also have a dotted reporting line to the Manager – Strategic Project Management Office ensuring that your project management practice is consistent and of the quality expected by Te Kunenga Ki P?rehuroa.
About you, you’ll bring the following:
   » Demonstrated practice in similar functions as Senior Project Manager of business change
   » Project management qualifications
   » practice leading and managing multiple and complex projects
   » High capability and capacity to work within a whanau-centred team environment and in ways that are consistent with the principles of whanaungatanga, kotahitanga, rangatiratanga, recognizing and respecting the mana of others
   » An capability to communicate and build relationships with a range of stakeholders
   » Strong negotiating expertise
   » An capability to skillfully transverse between meeting business requirements and managing capacity
