About Pay Equity The Ministry Pay Equity team is responsible for investigating and settling pay equity claims raised for staff employed by the Ministry of Education. This is done in conformity with the State Sector Pay Equity Claims Oversight and Governance Framework and the requirements of the Equal Pay Act 1972. Pay equity means that people are paid equally for doing work of equal value. Information technology acknowledges the value of the expertise, responsibilities and demands of workers in female dominated occupations that have suffered from gender-located discrimination because of perceptions and prejudices about the value of “women’s work”. About this function The Coordinator supports the Pay Equity Lead and team in organising and controlling day to day work activities to ensure that pay equity claims are settled in conformity with best practice and Ministry process and documentation requirements. About you To be prosperous in this function, you will have practice providing administrative support and quality customer service. You will have practice in organising, including identifying what matters, anticipating next steps and accurately delivering what was asked for. You will have the capability to communicate effectively, a focus on results and to be able to build and maintain relationships.
