The Ministry of Justice seeks a Manager for the Inquiry Facilitation team to support the Waitangi Tribunal to complete its historic inquiry programme, promptly address urgency applications and advance its kaupapa inquiry programme for contemporary claims. The Manager Inquiry Facilitation is a core member of the leadership abilities team and manages a team of skilled and dedicated staff. Strong candidates will have practice leading operational teams in the Government sector and be comfortable managing competing priorities and a challenging work programme. Whilst a legal qualification is not a pre-requisite, an knowledge of the principals and processes of the justice system is, especially as they pertain to the Treaty. practice working with judiciary would be an advantage. Given the nature of this function, practice in working with M?ori groups and organisations is important. Proven competence in influencing at senior levels, and the intellectual agility and creativity to challenge assumptions on how things are done will also position you well for consideration.
