Are you passionate about sharing your skills in digital learning with ?konga? We are seeking for two full-time Learning Specialists to work primarily at Capital E, sparking curiosity, stimulating creativity and engaging with the local curriculum. These functions offer the opportunity to expand your practice across other practice Wellington sites - City Gallery Wellington, Wellington Museum, Space Place, Cable Car Museum and Nairn Street Cottage.

Te ?hua o te t?ranga |The nature of the position
You will be teaching across both of our onsite specialist spaces, MediaLab and OnTV delivering hands-on digital learning sessions. MediaLab/Te Whare Matihiko is our digital technology lab where tamariki and rangatahi can explore everything from game design to virtual reality to music production. OnTV/Te Whare Whakaata is our purpose-built live video production studio where students lgain to collaborate to produce live broadcasts. You'll also be programming new ideas and collaborating with your Learning Specialist Digital colleagues, and across our Learning and wider programming teams.
Your skills will be crucial to our exciting continuing work with the Te Matapihi project, where Capital E will make its mark on the creative capital co-located within the new Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui Central Library.
We are seeking for someone who is creative, reliable, flexible, proactive and positive. Your fresh ideas and best practice expertise in digital technology education will inspire and engage our audiences, and your open communication style will see you develop relationships with audiences, partners and stakeholders to develop and extend our reach.
You will need to have practice in and consciousness of working with groups of tamariki and rangatahi, preferably in a teaching or facilitation function. expertise of the NZ Digital Technologies / Hangarau Matihiko curriculum and local curriculum to support with meeting our Ministry of Education-funded ELC targets is desirable. You will be able to support our aims to increase engagement with M?ori audiences and integrate Te Ao M?ori into our programming. You possess strong networks in the tech and digital industries, and excellent practical technical expertise and good trouble-shooting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, creative thinking, facilitation skills and group management practice is essential.
this function will be primarily located at Capital E on the Wellington waterfront. This position is permanent, full-time. Evening and weekend work may be required.
