Job Offer: 1001011 Programme Manager Pacific Virtual Museum Pilot Project:Department of Internal Affairs - Te Tari TaiwhenuaJob description:Job DescriptionType: Fixed termHours: Full time Job location: Wellington Business Group: National Library Branch: Enterprise Partnerships income: $108,349 – $145,178 The ?Pacific Virtual Museum' (PVM) programme is an Australian Government initiative managed by the Office of the Pacific in Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and implemented by the National Library of New Zealand, in collaboration with the National Library of Australia. The programme has been in place since 2019, and with support from our co-design group has created the site digitalpasifik.org, that provides an easy single access point to digitised Pacific cultural heritage items held in different museum, archive, and library collections from around the world. The current phase is funded until June 2024 will build on the work and engagement done so far. It will further develop relationships with existing content partners as well as onboard more Pacific located and global content partners. It will strategically work with the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea to explore ways to uplift capacity for Pacific cultural heritage institutions. It will hold consultations with First Nation Australian and iwi M?ori representatives about how the program can make visible and accessible their voices. This position will manage the Pacific Virtual Museum Programme, to ensure the prosperous delivery of the programme. The function has two direct reports and sits within and has the support of the Digital practice team atTe Puna M?tauranga o Aotearoa. Due to the nature of this project, we welcome applications who are located in Aotearoa New Zealand, but the position is open for those capable of working remotely.
