Are you looking for a new opportunity? If so this could be the position for you, joining our established team of psychiatrists, a consultant behavioural paediatrician, registrars and nursing and allied health colleagues at MidCentral District Health Board.The service has embarked on a significant redevelopment programme in the past several years and in May 2018 a new leadership abilities structure was introduced to lead further development of an integrated range of well-connected services along with our NGO partners in our community. We provide comprehensive community-located mental health services including: Extended hours crisis intervention service Community-located mental health care Adult Acute inpatient services (including intensive mental health care) Day activity/rehabilitation programmes General hospital liaison psychiatry Outreach clinics Child, adolescent and family mental health services Old Age Psychiatry services Alcohol and drug services Specialist Maori mental health services (Oranga Hinengaro) Early intervention services Intensive community rehabilitation services. We have a commitment to continuing medical education and professional development and our peer review group is enrolled with the maintenance of professional standards programme of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. We are recognised by the College for registrar training. If you want to develop a service delivery model, have an area of special interest or seek an opportunity to get involved in research, do let us know. ** Due to recent increased recruitment we are temporarily in the position of restricting applications to those who are Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Psychiatry (FRACP) and hold either vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or hold full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
