We have a great opportunity for a Senior Advisor, Response Readiness to join our Operational Readiness & Response team. You will play a pivotal function in providing specialist response subject matter skills into the development of national-level response capcapability and capacity, along with supporting system-wide workforce development. In addition, you will also support response communities of practice to champion response best-practice across the emergency management sector. Our ideal candidate will have strong relationship management skills, have a proven track record of working in an operational response setting, and strive to implement response best practice to ensure operational readiness across the emergency management sector is of an exceptional standard. Key requirements of the function include; » A high level of expertise and practice in operational response » Considerable practice in applying CIMS (or equivalent response framework) in an operational response environment » Proven capability to influence, build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders » A high level of written and verbal communication with an capability to work with individuals and groups effectively » Possess excellent judgement and decision-making abilities » A high degree of resilience coupled with a responsive proactive and pragmatic approach. Due to the security requirements of this function, candidates must be a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident. income range for this position is$94,716 – $111,431 including Kiwi Saver contributions.
