Summary In this function you will provide specialist tenancy and asset management for LinkPeople's social housing portfolio. this function involves managing tenancies in conformity with the Residential Tenancies Act 1986 and as a Social Landlord under the guidelines of the Community Housing Regulatory Authority. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5.00pm, and located in South Auckland. LinkPeople LinkPeople works with the most vulnerable members of our communities to provide access to safe, affordable accommodation and link them to the health and social services they need to live a fulfilling life. Our goal is to rapidly, permanently house individuals and families who would otherwise use emergency accommodation or be without shelter. The Team You'll be reporting to the Housing Team Leader and joining a team of housing workers – all with a common purpose and passion to support people to live their dreams Focus » Supporting people who apply for social housing with LinkPeople and ensuring applicant needs are matched to available housing options. » A strong tenant focus, ensuring the people we support have every opportunity to prosperously maintain their tenancy. » Completing all tenancy documentation, including reporting requirements to a high standard. » Supporting to maintain properties to a high standard and in a timely manner as per LinkPeople processes and policies and any contractual agreements. » Using the rent and tenancy management system to ensure information is robust, rent, arrears and repairs are monitored, and properties are maintained. » Engaging with trades-staff to ensure maintenance and repairs are coordinated and delivered within LinkPeople properties. » Ensuring compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act 1986, ensuring that tenant are aware of their rights and responsibilities and proactively managing breaches to tenancies to ensure that Tenancy Tribunal intervention is the exception. » Building strong relationships with key agencies in the health and social services space. » Being your best always, representing LinkPeople and the Wise Group in a professional manner. » Being committed to safety and wellbeing by following the Wise Group functions and responsibilities table. » Doing whatever is required to ensure that we are making a difference for the people in our community. You » We are particularly interested to hear from candidates who have a background in housing with property management practice. A qualification in property management would be ideal but not essential. » candidates must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with LinkPeople. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement.
