Coastpak is a well known sphagnum moss processing factory just outside Hokitika. Our all natural, pure West Coast product is supplied to customers all over NZ and across the world. And demand is higher than ever! That coupled with planned expansion and the summer season fast approaching, means we need workers! There are 2 types of function available - processing (drying and packaging) the moss in our factory - harvesting moss from the moss fields and maintenance of the fields Tasks may include » Drying the moss - laying out and turning moss in the tunnel houses for air drying » Cleaning the moss - putting moss through the tumbler and/or quality checking the product on the conveyor » Packaging the moss - operating machinery for packaging, sealing and labelling boxes » Hand picking the moss from our swamp » Weed reduction and pest eradication from the swamp That's our process, all natural and done in a sustainable manner. Factory work is on a casual or fixed term employment at the pay rate of $20 per hour (plus 8% holiday pay). Harvesting work is on contract rates - the more you pick, the more you earn. Skills:
