We are pursuing someone highly motivated who will join our Communities’ team working for the National Public Health Service in the Southern District. Our team has an equity focus working in partnership with communities. We work in various settings to promote health and wellbeing, reduce inequities and work alongside focus populations to support them in building on their strengths to address priorities. Our work involves building connections and maintaining effective relationships; you’ll work primarily with communities, particularly building relationships in settings such as marae, and with M?ori providers and community organisations. this function will be supported by our Communities’ leadership abilities team members, including Pou Whakatere and connect with our wider National Public Health Service colleagues. M?u ake – About you Our ideal candidate will have the following: » A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working bi-culturally » practice in health promotion or community development » A high level of interpersonal and communication expertise » practice in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action » Established relationships with M?ori communities » Competent computer expertise and high levels of organisational expertise » A full clean driver’s licence.
