An opportunity is available for an practiced Financial Controller to supervise a focused and high-performing team of 4, reporting into the CFO. This position is being recruited as a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover an internal secondment, however the expectation, although not guaranteed, is that there will be good scope for this function to continue thereafter. The Financial Controller is responsible for leading the finance team and providing end to end accounting, planning, and reporting services that supports the CFO and the wider business. This includes the provision of accurate and timely financial information, ensuring all management, statutory, and regulatory reporting obligations are met. Including month-end delivery with supporting registers, schedules, reconciliations, trial balance which are completed to a high standard and supports financial reporting and prosperous audit completion. This Financial Controller will also play a key function in the forecasting and planning process, contribute to ad-hoc projects and analysis, and will ensure appropriate accounting policies and procedures are in place. To be considered for this position, you will ideally be a qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent) and have at least 10 years of significant professional practice. This position will require Somebody with a significant amount of prior practice working in statutory and regulatory accounting within a banking or insurance environment. You'll have demonstrated leadership abilities expertise in addition to having the interpersonal abilities to build influence at all levels of an organisation.
