An opportunity to take on a communications and marketing function within the Literary sector. You will be working within the NZ Society of Authors Te Puni Kaituhi o Aotearoa, a membership organisation that has been working for writers since 1934 and currently has 1730 members.
Come and help our team with marketing and communications. Our organisation offers a suite of professional learning programmes, administers prizes and awards, advocates for writers and issues regular communications including bulletins, a quarterly (printed and online) magazine, member updates and press releases.
You will be working with our management team in promoting and marketing our services across all our communication platforms including Wordpress website, MailChimp email campaigns, FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media as required.
expertise of Wordpress, Microsoft Office, MailChimp, FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram are advantageous to this function. expertise of contemporary NZ writers and interest in writing would help your enjoyment of this work. We are seeking for Somebody with excellent written communication expertise and an eye for detail. expertise of contemporary writers and the literary community would be an advantage. Good verbal expertise and the capability to proactively engage with members, media and other arts and literary organisations in the sector is vital. We encourage candidates that reflect the multicultural population of our city.

The function is a fixed-term, half-time position, commencing August 2021 until December 2022. Our office is at a literary arts space: Kotahitanga in Takapuna.
