Graduate Analyst
Are you looking for a unique opportunity to apply your university research practice to make a difference to the lives of New Zealanders?
We are pursuing a recent graduate who has Te Ao M?ori practice to support the work of our Research and Evaluation team and wider MSD. this function will support our work program of policy-focused research and evaluation of MSD services.

The opportunity
The Research and Evaluation team's exciting work program involves undertaking research and evaluation to inform decision-making in areas of critical importance to New Zealander's wellbeing. Our work areas include:
   » Kaupapa M?ori work streams and capacity building, including qualitative and quantitative M?ori research and evaluation
   » Evaluating the effectiveness of MSD's employment and earnings support programmes
   » Developing evaluation frameworks and evidence to support family violence and sexual violence services
   » Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of the initiatives in the Families Package
   » Supporting policy and service decisions with evidence about young people, older people, and people with health and discapability issues.
Who We are seeking for
We are seeking for a motivated graduate to provide high quality research, evaluation, and analysis on a range of social policy issues. You will be expected to form sound working relationships with colleagues and staff all over the Ministry, as well as forming good relationships with staff in other social sector agencies significant to the nature of the work.
this function will appeal if you have:
   » knowledge and practice in te reo me ng? tikanga M?ori and working with M?ori in wh?nau, hap? and NGO settings
   » a significant tertiary qualification, for example social science research with a quantitative focus
   » knowledge of a range of research and evaluation methods and approaches
   » some practice working with data and producing insights from data
   » strong communication expertise
   » a commitment to developing expertise and knowledge.
