The Programming Advisors are in the Audience Programming team in Te Papa’s Audience and Insight Directorate and support the development of Te Papa’s te H?taka Matua Minenga/ holistic audience-facing programme across channels and content. This team works with all others across the Museum to ensure the content we are presenting for and with our audiences and communities is equitable and of the highest quality. The Audience and Insight Directorate leads an integrated approach across the organisation to how our visitor-facing activities connect people, taonga and stories. Audience-centric and strongly collaborative, the directorate brings together the activities of programme development, audience research and evaluation, marketing and communications, digital strategy, and content and exhibition design. About the function Reporting to the Head of Audience Programming, the Programming Advisor/s will be responsible for the following: » Day-to-day management of the programme development process, supporting kaimahi and partners to develop their creative ideas to be strategically aligned for Te Papa’s audience programme needs » Manage forward programme communications and stakeholder reporting, and work with project management, curatorial, audience channels, finance and other significant teams to help shape and sequence Te Papa’s forward long-term programme » Contribute to strategic planning and design, and manage, analyse and/or report adhoc projects to inform development and direction of holistic audience programme » Develop, maintain and ensure effective relationship management between key players in concept ideation, development and delivery About you We are seeking for Somebody with: » practice in concept development or production in a museum or similar creative environment is highly desirable » Excellent organisational, planning, communication, negotiation and influencing expertise » capability to switch between aspirational, big picture and a highly honed attention to detail, without being by confined by it, and to transform complex information into succinct, compelling audience practices » capability to work effectively to support creative teams in a fast-paced » Commitment to working in a bicultural manner at a Tiriti located organisation for equitable results » Creativity balanced with practicality, including an capability to scale ideas to fit within budget, time, and resource parameters » practice working to tight deadlines with competing demands » Collaborative spirit, confidence, positivity, and energy To apply, please provide a cover letter and your CV setting out significant work practice and how your expertise and background fit with this function.
