About us
Te Puna Hanganga, Ma tihiko – Infrastructure and Digital, a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day.
Our vision for school property is that all schools have quality learning environments as part of a well-managed and sustainable portfolio that helps deliver equitable and excellent results for every child.
Capital Works manages the planning and delivery of major redevelopments, new builds and infrastructure upgrades for New Zealand schools as part of the Infrastructure and Delivery service (Te Puna Hanganga, Matihiko) one of the largest property portfolios in New Zealand. Our vision is to be a world leader in providing learning environments that advance educational achievement.
About the function
The Delivery Managers are responsible for developing effective relationships and trust with schools and other internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that consultants are working effectively and efficiently to deliver school infrastructure projects on time, to budget and to scope as set out in the project brief. The Delivery Managers will supervise a group of capital projects (building construction) and will follow and work within Ministry and Te Puna Hanganga, Matihiko policy, procedures and guidelines.
Key expertise needed are the following:
   » Management of end to end school building construction projects in a fast paced and complex portfolio
   » Stakeholder relationship management with a diverse group of stakeholders
   » Problem solving and collaboration to deliver great results with maximum impact

You are a Project Manager looking to step up to the next level, with significant construction knowledge, and a strong track record of using project management methodologies and organisational processes to achieve efficient results, manage risks and implement lessons learnt. knowledge of the full end to end project management from business case to completion of the project.
