function:
• Develop relationships with children and their families located on the principles, tools and resources of the FWN strength-located approach to practice.
• Maintain a clear focus on child well-being and ensure their safety in conformity with the paramountcy principle Children Young Persons and their Families Act 1989 and FW policy documents.
• Work to build relationships with children’s natural networks wherever possible by engaging and working alongside families and their community supports.
• Assist children and their families to identify their strengths, and set goals for their future, located on their agreed needs.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
• Help in assessment and planning
• Develop and manage a service delivery plan in partnership with child/whanau, and other appropriate agencies.
• Refer and access appropriate agencies.
• Deliver and/or coordinate the delivery of services as agreed in plan.
• Work directly with child/whanau in a collaborative therapeutic relationship to achieve agreed goals, thereby meeting their needs.
• Facilitate family and professionals meetings.
• Foster positive parent/caregiver/child relationships.
• Model positive adult/child relationships.
• Monitor and review the effectiveness of interventions to ensure goals/plans are achieved and document accordingly on a regular basis.
You
• Current Practising certificate and registration required.
• Have full drivers licence
• Committed to fostering relationships with a diverse range of culture
• A strong sense of integrity, resilience and in depth problem solving
