NEMA’s primary focus is on the performance and capcapability of the emergency management system as a whole, across all hazards and all risks and the 4 Rs of risk reduction, readiness, response and recovery. This Programme Coordinator function sits in the Policy Business Unit which is responsible for providing emergency management related policy advice to government, the CDEM sector and the wider emergency management and national security systems. This includes stewardship of the CDEM framework, including a priority project to amend the CDEM Act to ensure Information technology is fit for purpose. The Policy Business Unit also supports NEMA, its Regional Emergency Management Advisors and CDEM Groups during responses to emergencies. The purpose of the Programme Coordinator position is to provide efficient and effective programme and project administrative, secretariat and reporting support to the Regulatory Framework Review and Designing for the Future programmes. As the Programme Coordinator you will be responsible for: » Project and programme plans, timelines, deliverables, and budget are monitored and kept on track » Risks and interdependencies across work streams are updated and factored into project and programme planning » Project Managers and work stream leads are well-supported with planning, coordination, documentation and regular reporting » Work plans and stakeholder engagement activities are well coordinated » Programme and project paperwork and other significant documents are effectively filed and managed in the document management system, iManage » Programme and projects are evaluated, and lessons are documented all over all programme phases » Programme and project correspondence are prepared, including memos, meeting minutes and emails » General administrative support is provided, including travel bookings, organising meetings, taking minutes, and other administrative or Secretariat work. As the Programme Coordinator, you will bring the following practice and attributes: » Flexibility of approach/thinking, able to adapt in constantly changing circumstances » Comfortable facilitating a collaborative work environment, with a constant eye on completing the objective and goals of the business unit » An capability to deliver high quality work output under pressure » The discretion and tact to handle confidential and private information » High level of judgement with the capability to make effective decisions in complex situations » Able to manage without authority and ensure work gets completed and effectively and on time.
