ACC manages one of New Zealand’s largest investment funds with ~$49 billion invested. We are currently seeking a portfolio manager to join the highly prosperous manager selection strategy. Working closely with the Manager External Managed Funds and the wider Investment team to maximise returns with acceptable risk in the management of existing global external managers and analysis of new strategies. As part of this function you would be expected to collaborate across the investment group contributing to wider investment objectives. A few things you would be doing will include the following: » Analysis of external manger strategies risk and performance » Prepare reports on external manger portfolios/strategies » Engage with ACC’s external investment managers on issues and opportunities » Contribute to the development of data analysis systems and outputs using third-party data » Clearly communicating the key results of your analysis (including new ideas, key risks, key themes, conclusions, and recommendations) to key stakeholders to influence investment decisions » Develop and/or update procedures, systems and tools used for managing and analysing external managers What we need from you to be prosperous will include the following: » You will have a number of years’ practice in funds management/ financial markets and/or institutional investing preferably with involvement in external manager selection and management » practice in qualitative and quantitative research and the capability influence senior stakeholders and boards located on your findings » An intellectual curiosity that sparks learning, high financial literacy, and a strong moral compass » Prepared to Travel outside NZ This is your opportunity to come and lgain from a strong investment team with an enviable track record.
