Reducing the incidence and severity of injuries is a strategic priority for ACC and one of the many ways we help to improve lives every day. ACC is increasing its investment in injury avoidance and implementing an ambitious Injury avoidance Strategy.
ACC’s Injury avoidance Programmes are part of inter-agency efforts that are making great progress in reducing New Zealand’s injury rate. As an Injury avoidance Partner in the Violence Injury avoidance team you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the ACC Mates & Dates healthy relationships programme for secondary school students (www.matesanddates.co.nz). You will also have a strong contribution to the development of ACCs future investment in Healthy Consensual Relationships and your practice in primary avoidance and systems design is paramount.
You will have an agile and innovative mind-set and will invite a collaborative working style with your key stakeholders. Your previous work in this area will have you both well networked and familiar with navigating the intricacies and sensitivities involved with work in the primary avoidance and Healthy Consensual Relationship space.
The Violence Injury avoidance team focuses on reducing the incidence of family and sexual violence injuries.? As such, you will be working in and around information that addresses those topics and incidences on a everyday basis.? Please consider this and your tolerance to the subject matter carefully prior to lodging an application.
?What We are seeking for from you to be prosperous in this function:
   » practice of systems level change/design and primary avoidance, preferably within family and sexual violence avoidance
   » practice working with NGOs and Government agencies (particularly Joint Venture partners) is preferred
   » practice of working collaboratively to design effective, sustainable programmes that will reduce the incidence and/or severity of sexual violence and other violence injuries
   » Sexual violence avoidance subject matter practice is desired
   » practice of influencing and interacting with diverse stakeholders at different levels
   » capability to identify target groups through root cause analysis
   » capability to work autonomously in the sectors changing environment
   » practice of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
An attractive income $94k – $120k depending on practice,plus 9% super is on offer, along with an opportunity to grow and develop your career in one of New Zealand’s leading government agencies.
