Our client brings together various parts of the supply chain to create a balance by redefining the end-to-end cargo flows, consolidating freight and improving connectivity between transport modes and freight hubs. This is a permanent position, based out of Mount Maunganui. The hours are minimum 40 per week guaranteed, working days Monday to Friday. From time to time, additional hours may be available during the week and on the weekends. We are looking for a Driver to do class 5 work, servicing Katikati to Opotiki daily. You'd be doing one pallet drops/tail lifts and full loads and drive a variety of gear. There is a high level of compliance and professionalism required. This could be an ideal role for a Driver wanting to learn more about the transport business. You'll work closely with our team, some who have progressed through the fleet and now drive our HPMV units. Core Accountabilities: » Driving » Consignment delivery and collection » Maintenance » Inspection » Reporting » Training » Team support The Requirements: Essential: » An understanding of the Road Code, defensive driving techniques and relevant transport laws » Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to light to heavy equipment operations; and best practice methods, materials and tools used in the performance of their work. » Driver's License (Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) » Knowledge of the area they work in and the correct and approved routes to take » Five years driving experience Preferred: » Site Safe Passport, Driver Safe Passport » Endorsement Dangerous Goods (D), Forklift (F) » Five years transport industry experience Swinglift operator » Mini-swing operator » A proven track record in being part of a successful, fast paced environment that calls for attention to detail, where we work as one To be considered for this position, please apply online and attach a current CV and any relevant employment related certificates.
