It is not often I pick up a job brief and get goosebumps with excitement about a function – but I did with this one. This is an EA function like no other – and you get to live in the beautiful Bay. Supporting David Banfield, the CEO of Comvita will be a whirlwind ride. He is inspirational, extremely hard working, and down to earth all at the same time. His career pathway is impressive and the level of support he requires of his EA, I’d describe as ‘all in’.
The Job
It’s a diverse function within an NZX listed organisation, your responsibilities will include:
• Being part of the leadership abilities team.
• The eyes and ears of the organisation, with strong relationships across the business.
• In step with the CEO; his diary, forward planning and knowledge his priorities.
• Governance; Investor relations, monthly board meetings; preparing papers, PPT presentations and reports, maintaining the board calendar; following up on information and gaining signatures (there are international board members). Adhering to the formality of being a NZX listed company.
• Event organisation and management; investor roadshows, local and international branding events, new product development and staff-related events.
• Administration; creating, formatting and editing documents – you must be very strong with Powerpoint (including imbedding images and video), assistance with speech writing, travel and diary management.

The Ideal Person
To succeed in this function Information technology is essential we get the right fit with the CEO. He has strong values and is described as relaxed and friendly. This person must have a breadth of practice and a high level of commercial acumen, be flexible and committed while also being a forward-thinker, pre-empting his and the businesses requirements. It’s expected you’ll be advanced using the Microsoft suite and very strong with Powerpoint. Tact, confidentiality, professionalism and excellent communication expertise, both written and verbal are all traits we’re looking for in this person.
