About our group and team
The Evidence Synthesis and Dissemination (ESD) group is responsible for relaying the story of student’s educational achievement and wellbeing across their early learning and schooling journey and disseminating information and evidence to our customers.
The Workforce Analysis team has responsibility for workforce analytics, including analysis of teacher demand and supply, to support design and implementation of policy and ensure a high-quality education workforce for our akonga/students.
About this function
The Manager, Workforce Analysis is accountable for leadership abilities and operational management of the Workforce Analysis team.
The Manager provides leadership abilities and operational management across the EDK workforce programme, ensuring the alignment of work across the group, the Ministry and the Education System so that the Ministry’s educational workforce analysis and research priorities fulfil government objectives and meet the needs of stakeholders.
About you
Critical to the success of this function is your leadership abilities, vision and drive. You will display sound judgement, a high level of integrity, and excellent interpersonal expertise with the capability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders at senior levels.
You will have a strong capability to navigate complex situations effectively and efficiently and to function under pressure in situations which are highly ambiguous.
You will also offer:
   » a Tertiary qualification in Economics, Social Science, Research, Statistics, and/or related field
   » demonstrable capability in leading a data analysis and research team to deliver a comprehensive programme of work
   » excellent written and verbal communication expertise including communicating technical information to a non-technical audience
   » practice and skill in quantitative methodologies with highly developed problem solving, numeracy and analytical expertise
   » team leadership abilities and management practice.
Ideally you will also have practice in leading and delivering workforce analysis.
