Your New Company:

The port facilities at CentrePort Wellington include berths for container ships, roll-on/roll-off vessels, and bulk carriers. Additionally, it offers extensive storage and handling capabilities, with modern container terminals, warehouses and distribution centres.
CentrePort Wellington's strategic location provides access to key transportation networks, including road, rail and coastal shipping routes. This connectivity enables efficient movement of goods to and from the port, supporting trade and economic activities both regionally and nationally.
They are currently seeking a skilled & versatile Electrician to join their Engineering & Maintenance team.

Your New Role:
Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the electrical & mechanical integrity of CentrePort's assets through effective maintenance and repair programs. In alignment with CentrePort's values of working together as one team, you will be working closely with the other trades completing maintenance work on a variety of machinery. This includes servicing of container cranes, heavy plant equipment and heavy machinery, pumps, controls as well as diagnosing breakdowns associated with other mechanical systems. This is a challenging role where no two days are the same. If you're someone who thrives in these environments, and really values the quality of your work, then this might be the role for you!

What you'll need to succeed:
   » Fully qualified with EWRB registration
   » Must be able to work from heights & in confined spaces
   » Industrial and mechanically minded and willing to do on-call work
   » Knowledge of PLC systems & SMA Interbus is beneficial
   » Strong work ethic & strong ability to problem solve
