As our Lead Strategy Advisor, you will lead a small team of advisors that primarily support the Health Sector Strategy (HSS) and provide comprehensive, innovative, and high-quality advice to support a strategic, evidence-located approach to the commissioning of health services by ACC. Our Health Partnerships Service Strategy & Insights team are responsible for the delivery of services through the HSS agile release train and guiding the strategic direction of Health Partnerships. Working closely with Analytics and Intelligence teams from around ACC, Information technology also facilitates strategic decision analysis and support for Health Partnerships to ensure an evidence-located approach to health services commissioning. What will you be doing? » Leading and delivering the work programme for the Health Sector Strategy » Providing strategic and analytical support, and advice to develop a future focused Heath Sector Strategy and provide strategic planning support » Leading the provision of high level strategic advice on the Health System to help understand the changing landscape » Supporting and developing the Strategy team with delivering strategic insights and advice to inform the Health Sector Strategy and service delivery » Act as a thought leader for Health Partnerships focused on the health system by bringing knowledge and insight to the future needs of customers » Inspiring, growing and developing your team by providing strong leadership abilities to create a cohesive, constructive and supportive team who are clear on their purpose. » Taking a lead function in key internal/external stakeholder management What you need to be prosperous: » Tertiary qualification (or significant practice) – business, economics or similar and at least five years significant practice » Depth in strategic analysis, planning and implementation skills, and the capability to provide advice to senior management in these areas » The capability to build strong sustainable relationships and proven capability to influence stakeholders » Strong conceptual and analytical capability with complex, ambiguous and emerging issues » Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skills » Excellent written and oral communication skills » Knowledge of wider government and ACC operating environment, or proven capability to develop new subject skills quickly » Knowledge of health services commissioning approaches Working at ACC We know that a diverse and inclusive team helps us meet the needs of our customers, and we welcome candidates from every ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, age, and those with a discapability or who have additional mental health needs.
